Greta Cross is an award-winning journalist in Springfield, Missouri. She is the trending topics reporter at the Springfield News-Leader, a part of the USA Today Network, and a member of the Springfield News Guild.

Greta enjoys bringing light to LGBTQ communities in the rural Midwest. She is working on an oral history project documenting the history of Springfield's drag queen community and a podcast about drag communities in rural Missouri.​

Greta is the director of "16 Weeks," a documentary about Missouri State University students living amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the fall of 2020.
